Join the Homewood Chamber of Commerce and the Homewood Rotary Club for the City of Homewood’s annual back-to-school supply drive! With the donation of school supplies, patrons can enjoy happy-hour networking with one another. Donations of school supplies count as the price of admission to this event. There is no cost for teachers to attend this event, and teachers who do attend will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 gift card. Stay up to date on this event here.
2. First Day of School for Homewood City Schools

3. The Homewood Public Library’s Block Party
Saturday, Aug. 19 | 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The Homewood Public Library
Back for the eighth year, this family-friendly fundraiser benefits everyone’s favorite library. Enjoy cold beverages while you sample food and drinks from local sponsors. Listen to live music while your kids enjoy book-themed carnival games, a climbing wall and other fun activities. Tickets for adults are $25, and tickets for children ages 4-20 years old are $10. Kids under age 4 get in free. Ticket purchase includes food, beverages and activities. Tickets are also available at the door. The event is rain or shine. Tickets can be purchased here.

5. The City of Homewood’s Back to School Bash

Patriot Park
With rides, attractions, inflatables, food vendors, live entertainment and more, this annual back to school bash is the perfect way to end the summer right. While there is no cost to play on the bounce houses, patrons can purchase $10 wristbands for unlimited access to all the event’s amenities. Wristband sales benefit the Homewood High School band.
