We Love Homewood Day

Homewood Central Park
Due to inclement weather, the We Love Homewood Day Festival has been rescheduled from Saturday, May 3 to Sunday, May 4 from 1-5 p.m. at Homewood Central Park. As of press time, no other updates have been announced about the other event activities, including the parade and street dancing in Edgewood. Follow Homewood Parks to stay updated on this event. Motherwalk and Run 5K
Saturday, May 10 | 8 a.m.
Homewood Central Park
The Motherwalk and Run 5K is back again this month, supporting the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation. Registration fees for the 5K are $35, and registration fees for the one-mile walk are $30. Find more details and register here.
The 19th Annual Spring Scramble 5K, Walk/Run
Saturday, May 17 | 5:30 p.m.
2839 18th Street South
Organized by the UAB Pediatric Residency Program, the Spring Scramble 5K Walk/Run benefits the Coat of Arms advocacy organization, which raises money and awareness for community initiatives battling food insecurity, declining literacy rates, underserved education systems and more in the Birmingham area. While everyone is welcome to participate, please note that this race is un-timed and runners do not get a race packet. T-shirts are available for purchase. Race fees are $35 per person.
