How did you two meet?
His sister, Christa, and brother-in-law, Jason, set us up! They have been saying for many years that we should meet, but we were reluctant. They surprised us and “set us up” at dinner and told the restaurant it was our anniversary!
The Proposal
Chris asked me at our home at Smith Lake. We were doing life, and he said he had been trying to ask me for months and didn’t want to wait any more! So, he got on one knee right there in our closet and asked me to be his wife and spend forever with him.
Favorite Wedding Moment
The flowers were gorgeous! It was like the garden came to life in a ballroom with chandeliers! It was an elegant and formal affair. There were many gold accents and crystals. The music and dancing went into the “weeee” hours of the night! It was truly magical. Chris and I couldn’t stop smiling. There were so many emotions leading up to this moment. We love to reminisce and look back at pictures of “our” day.
Favorite Wedding Details
There are so many favorite moments, but I loved that our dads each played an important part. Our ceremony was special, as his dad (a minister) officiated it. My dad walked me down the aisle and had everyone laughing and crying during his heartfelt speech and toast.
