HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
The story of how Reid and I met is a testament to both the Lord’s faithfulness and sense of humor. Throughout college, I would joke with my friends and say I didn’t know how I would ever meet a man when I was usually at home on the couch in my pajamas on Saturday nights. Ironically, that’s exactly where I was when Reid came into my life. He sent me a message on Instagram, we started chatting, went on our first date to church and Taco Mama the next day, and the rest is history.
THE PROPOSAL
After a year and a half of long-distance dating, Reid brought me up to the lookout atop English Village–a place special to us where we shared our first kiss and frequently came back to throughout our relationship. He took my hands, prayed over our future marriage, got down on a knee and asked me to marry him! We celebrated afterwards at his family farm with all of our closest friends and family.
PREPARING FOR MARRIAGE
We are so thankful for the rich wisdom we received through our marriage counseling sessions with our pastor at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
WEDDING MOMENTS
The standout moment from our wedding day was that one no one knew about it until after the fact. We took a few minutes between our ceremony and reception to walk to Taco Mama in Edgewood and share a drink at the table where we sat on our first date. In that moment, everything came full circle, and it was such a special few minutes to soak in where we started and now where we are.
