Lakeshore Trail & Central Park Playground
For outdoor fun, it’s hard to beat the Lakeshore Trail! It’s perfect for family time with the kids as they ride their scooters, while my husband and I enjoy a walk. We also love Homewood Central Park’s new playground. Seeing my 5-year-old conquer the ninja wall was a proud parent moment!
The Exceptional Foundation’s Chili Cook-Off
The annual chili cook-off hosted by The Exceptional Foundation is a must-attend event. It’s a fun, family-friendly event with delicious chili (and creative sides–fried pickles, anyone)? Plus, it supports a fantastic cause–a local non-profit helping adults with special needs.
Vulcan Park & Museum
One of my favorite memories is my rehearsal dinner, which was held at Vulcan Park & Museum just outside of Homewood. Sharing that incredible view of the city from the observation tower with my husband and all our loved ones–many of whom were visiting Birmingham for the first time–was truly special. Pictured is my husband, Austin, and I on our wedding day.
