The Exceptional Foundation’s Chili Cook-Off

Back and benefiting The Exceptional Foundation, this annual chili cook-off is one of most well-attended events of the season. The 2024 cook-off raised more than $520,000 for The Exceptional Foundation and featured 151 cook teams. More than 13,000 individuals attended this event. The Homewood Rotary’s St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser

Don’t forget to wear green, and join the Homewood Rotary for its annual St. Patrick’s Day fundraising dinner! This Irish-themed evening will include a plated dinner, a cash bar, live musical performances by the band, Hooley, and of course, both live and silent auctions, too. Mardi Gras Kids Parade

Tuesday, March 4 | 4 p.m.
Homewood Central Park

Presented by the Moms Club of Birmingham East, the Mardi Gras Kids Parade will feature children dressed in their Mardi Gras best and celebrating the season with fun, family-friendly activities. This event is free and open to the public. Age-appropriate costumes are encouraged.

Daddy Daughter Date Night
Saturday, March 8 | 5-7 p.m.
  • This ticketed event features a dinner buffet, a DJ, a photo booth, a glitter bar and more.
St. Patty’s Party
Sunday, March 16 | Noon to 6 p.m. 
  • Featuring live music, drink specials, kids’ activities and more, this free event is open to the public. The Edge will also be showing the SEC Basketball Championship on the green.
March Madness Tournament
Tuesday, March 18-Monday, April 7
  • Enter The Edge’s bracket competition and watch all the games on the jumbo screen on the green.

Taste of Homewood

Thursday, March 13 | 5:30-8 p.m.
SoHo Square Plaza

The 21st Annual Taste of Homewood event will feature the best of the best food and beverage vendors from right here in town–more than 25 local restaurants will participate in the festivities. The Bell Center 5K & Children’s Run

Presented by Daniel Corporation, The Bell Center is hosting its second annual 5K and Children’s Run, which is a community-oriented race whose proceeds benefit The Bell Center and its efforts towards early intervention therapy for infants, toddlers and children throughout the state of Alabama.
