2. Troop 97 Annual Garage Sale, Pancake Breakfast & Silent Auction

May 7 | 7 a.m.-12 p.m.

After two years, the Troop 97 garage sale, pancake breakfast and silent auction is being held on the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend. Bring your mom for the pancakes, take a chance in the auction and search for that perfect item in our garage sale.

3. We Love Homewood Day

A day full of fun with activities that the whole family will enjoy. Come for food, music, games, parades, entertainment and a whole lot more. This year’s celebration will include:
We Love Homewood Day 5k at 7:30 a.m., Spring in the Park Festival at 10 a.m., vendor expo from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., The Rotary Club bake sale and sidewalk chalk art contest
food trucks, We Love Homewood Day parade at 6 p.m. from The Homewood Public Library to Edgewood Business District, street dance in Edgewood.

4. Art in the Lot

May 7 | 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Trinity United Methodist Church

Presented by Trinity Studio, Art in the Lot returns Saturday, May 7! This is a fun and popular event where you can sell, shop and discover the talents of local artists. The event is from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm in Trinity’s large parking lot.

5. Adult Coffee and Crafts: Tart Tin Ornaments

May 14 | 2-4 p.m.
Homewood Public Library

This month adults can learn how to make Tark Tin Ornaments. Participants do not need to bring anything, all materials will be provided. The class is free, but seating is limited. Register online here.

6. Alabama Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster & Friends: Anthems of Alabama

May 24 | 7:30 p.m.
Samford Brock Recital Hall

Commemorating 100 years of making music in the state of Alabama, explore the musical accomplishments of beloved Alabamians including Bobby Horton and others. Find more information here.

7. Random Mountain Ramblers

Random Mountain Ramblers will play live at Dave’s Pizza in Homewood on May 27. Random Mountain Ramblers is rooted in bluegrass and old-time, sweet harmonies and a carefree spirit.
