1. Birmingham Art Crawl

Brookwood Village
Birmingham Art Crawl is expanding beyond its location at the Pizitz and coming to Brookwood Village sidewalks to showcase local artists. Plus there will be live music and dessert food trucks. The six-week series kicked off May 18 and runs through June 22.
2. West Homewood StreetFest
Saturday, June 2 | 4-9 p.m.

3. Vulcan Birthday Bash
Sunday, June 3 | 12-4 p.m.
Vulcan Park & Museum
The Big Guy is turning 114, so join in for a celebration with all kinds of family fun. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children, or free for Vulcan Park and Museum members and children 4 and under.
4. West Homewood Market
Tuesdays Starting in June | 5-8 p.m.
160 Oxmoor Road
Pick up farm-fresh produce and dinner from your favorite food trucks. Plus shop around at arts and crafts vendors or take in some live music. The market runs the first Tuesday of June through the first Tuesday of August. Learn more at westhomewood.com.
5. Water Play Day
Tuesday, June 5 | 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Homewood Public Library
Wear your bathing suit and get ready for water slides, water games and watermelon. Plus, find lots more fun library events this summer here.
6. Miss Alabama Scholarship Pageant

7. Shades Valley Lutheran Church Garage Sale

8. Freedom from Addiction Coalition Breakfast
Tuesday, June 12 | 8-9 a.m.
Canterbury United Methodist Church
Join Mayor Scott McBrayer and other Over the Mountain mayors to hear from Richard Simmons and Jay Lloyd at what are now quarterly events to address issues of drug addiction. Following the program, representatives from local recovery providers will be available to speak privately with anyone in need of additional information or direction. Breakfast will be served starting at 7:30 a.m.
9. Movie Night Under the Moon
Wednesday, June 27
5 p.m. Antique Car Show, 8 p.m. Movie
Vulcan Park & Museum
Smokey and the Bandit will be on the big screen after the sun sets, but also come early for the Dixie Vintage Antique Car Show and ‘70s music and to grab dinner or snacks from food trucks and concession offerings.
