HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
I recently moved in with my sister’s family in Greenville, South Carolina, from Birmingham after accepting a job offer in the area. While in Greenville, I was introduced to Travis through my brother-in-law, Nick, and we immediately hit it off! I knew that if Nick thought highly of Travis, he must be an amazing guy. My first thoughts of Travis were that he was incredibly kind, funny and easygoing. After our initial meeting, Travis asked me to dinner, and I was so thrilled!
THE PROPOSAL
I went to the University of Alabama, and Travis told me that he wanted to go to Tuscaloosa for a football game with me since I don’t get to go as often anymore. The morning of the game as we started to head that way, Travis pulled over to Sybil Temple in Vestavia Hills because he said he wanted to look at the view. As soon as we got to the top, I started noticing that the temple was beautifully decorated with flowers. The next thing I knew, Travis was on his knee! After the proposal, both of our families and my best friend came running up to us to congratulate us.
WEDDING DRESS DETAILS
Ever since I was a little girl, I always knew that I wanted to have a classic, Southern look to my wedding dress. As soon as I tried my dress on, I immediately knew that I had found the dress for me because it was exactly as I had always envisioned it would look like. The sweetheart neckline felt so feminine, and the ballgown style with the long train made me feel like an absolute princess.
