HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
Payton and I met at La Paz in Mountain Brook in June 2021, and we both knew very early on that we wanted to spend our lives together.
THE PROPOSAL
One of our favorite places to spend the summers is at my parent’s house at Lake Martin, so Payton decided that it would be the perfect place to propose. He and I took a long boat ride, and he proposed in front of the Wicker Point Golf Course. It was just the two of us, and it was perfect.
WEDDING DRESS DETAILS
I knew I wanted something simple and timeless. I also wanted to be able to look back at wedding photos with our grandkids and still love it. After trying on several dresses, my sister-in-law and my mom convinced me to try on a beautiful strapless dress, and the rest was history. Not only did I feel like myself, but I also felt like a bride.
WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE
My biggest piece of advice is to try not to get too stressed out with all the small details. There will be vendors, family members and guests asking you lots of questions throughout the process; however, keep your focus on the most important part, the marriage, and everything else will fall into place.
