Brought to you by Brookwood Baptist Health and C Spire, the 2022 Homewood Chamber Golf Classic is the chamber’s largest fundraiser, benefiting the chamber’s economic development programs, scholarships and community promotions. Anyone who wishes to participate may do so regardless of skill set. Everyone who wants to play must register online at the 2022 Homewood Chamber Golf Classic. Jimmie Hale Mission’s Rescue Run 5K/10K/Fun Run
Saturday, Oct. 8 | 5K begins at 8 a.m. | 10K begins at 7:45 a.m.
Downtown Homewood
This annual 5K/10K will begin and end on 29th Avenue South near Dave’s Pizza. Participants in the 5K can run or walk and will be chip-timed. Participants in the 10K, however, must run and complete the race within 1 hour 30 minutes. There is also a 1-mile fun run, in which participants can walk or run and will not be timed. Grace House Ministries Pumpkin Festival
Saturday, Oct. 15 | 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Brought to you by the Grace House Junior Board, this festival raises money and awareness for Alabama girls in foster care. This event features a “Spider Climb” climbing structure with a 45-foot slide, carnival games, attractions, candy and door prizes! There will also be exotic pet encounters with animals from Ed’s Pet World! Uncle G’s Pizza and Cookie Fix will be available, too. Grace House Ministries will also be giving out pumpkins for general admission tickets. This wholesome festival is one of the best ways that Homewood gives back to the community. 2022 Annual Witches’ Ride
Sunday, Oct. 30 | 2-7 p.m. | Witches’ ride begins at 5:45 p.m.
Beginning at Homewood Central Park
The 10th annual Homewood Witches’ Ride is back again this year! Each October, the witches throw candy to trick-or-treaters as they trek a 2.5-mile bike ride throughout Homewood in efforts to raise money and awareness for the O’Neal Comprehensive Care Center at UAB. While the witches’ ride coincides with Homewood’s Fall Festival at Homewood Central Park, registration for the ride takes place from 4:15-5:30 p.m. The witches will line up on Parkridge Dr. at 5:30 p.m., and they will fly at 5:45 p.m. Following the ride will be a post party at Homewood’s new Little Donkey location, which will feature live music, delicious food and drinks and a balloon artist!
