How We Met: Melissa and Conner met while interning up in East Tennessee. They’ve always laughed about how they had to travel over 350 miles to meet their eventual spouse after growing up just 10 miles apart. They spent the entire summer hiking and exploring the Appalachian Mountains together, and their adventurous spirits are what really brought them together.

The Dress: The dress from Bridal Bliss in Homewood was fitted and lace with a very long train.

Favorite Moment: Melissa and Conner married in the same church as Melissa’s parents. After walking Melissa’s mom down the aisle, her dad came back with tears down his face. He was flushed with sweet memories of seeing my mom for the first time as his wife. Another great moment of the day was going to get margaritas after the reception. A group of Melissa and Conner’s friends stuck around long after the reception had ended, and they all went to a Mexican restaurant by the venue. It was a great time to gather and talk in a more intimate setting.

Favorite Detail: The flowers, most definitely. They were a bold, colorful arrangement with irises, yellow cushion mums, bright pink roses, and many more elegant and colorful touches.

What We Are Doing Now: Melissa and Conner returned to the company they interned for and work as full-time engineers in Kingsport, Tennessee. Their favorite part of being married is having a friend to laugh with at all hours of the day.
