How We Met: It was sorority recruitment week at The University of Alabama. At Wine Wednesday at Gallette’s, a very cute boy, Andrew, walked into the bar. I (Kelly) commented to my friend how cute I thought he was, and she responded by telling me she knew him and insisted that she would bring him over to talk to me. She introduced us, and the rest is history.

The Proposal: My friend Dani asked me if Andrew and I wanted to have brunch on Sunday after church with her and her husband, and little did I know that it was actually Andrew who had made the reservation at Gallery and Garden! She suggested that we go to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens beforehand, and I didn’t think anything of it and agreed. As soon as we get there, Andrew headed toward the reflecting lily pad pools. I followed him because I had no idea where I was going, and he grabbed my hand and asked me to walk with him. It was in that moment that I knew Andrew was going to ask me to marry him. He proposed right in front of the reflecting pools.

Favorite Moment: Our first look was both our favorite moment. For me, seeing Andrew took away all of my nerves. It allowed me to take a deep breath and relax. I knew that as long as I had him, that was all that mattered. Andrew said he loved seeing me in my wedding dress and that it took away his nervousness as well.Vendors
