How We Met: Stephen and I (Jamie) actually met on eHarmony…and I had always sworn I would “never ever meet my husband on eHarmony.” I was the first person Stephen ever went on a date with from eHarmony, so he really won in this situation. I had to go on lots of awkward dates before finding him, but he sure was worth the wait!

The Proposal: Stephen and I long distance dated for the very short time we did date (just four months before we got engaged), and I spent a lot of time getting to know his cute town of Collierville, Tennessee. We got engaged on Dec. 21, 2017, under a beautiful tunnel of lights in the Collierville town square. He then surprised me with dinner at the restaurant where he asked me to be his girlfriend, and out popped both of our families. My beloved grandparents from California were able to be there, along with both set of our parents and Stephen’s brother and sister-in-law!

The Dress: I had always dreamed of shopping for my wedding dress, probably from the time I was a 5 years old. My two matrons of honor joined me as well as the best mother of the bride of all time. The day started with champagne and ended with champagne. I was staunchly against a strapless dress, until the girls at Ivory & White said, “Please just try this one on.” Of course I did, and immediately the tears started flowing. I knew in that exact moment that it was definitely the one.
