HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
A few of my friends and I went to Moe’s BBQ in Lakeview to watch the Iron Bowl. I was standing at the bar with my friends, getting ready to order a drink. All of the sudden, someone took my hat off. The rest is history. It truly was such a brave move by Corey.
THE PROPOSAL
Corey and I were headed to my parent’s lake house for the weekend, but he informed me that we were going to a very fancy restaurant for our anniversary first. On the way, I noticed that Corey took the turn to my lake house instead of continuing into downtown Cullman. He told me we were going to drop our bags off first. As we pulled up, I noticed candles leading all the way down to the top of our boat dock. We walked up to the very top, and he got down on one knee. It was the most beautiful and meaningful proposal, considering that it is our favorite place to spend time together.
WEDDING DRESS DETAILS
I wanted a dress that was truly timeless. I wanted the classic look that I could look back on years later and still consider beautiful. I also wanted sleeves to channel my inner Kate Middleton.
WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE
Ask and accept help. I never want to burden others with my business, and I look back and think about all the opportunities I had to ask for help. People love helping with weddings, so let them.
