How did you two meet?
We are a bit of a cliche story—we met at work! (I’m a nurse, and he’s a doctor). We laugh now because we think that my charge nurses were trying to set us up. Whenever Chad was working a night shift, I always had the patients right in front of where he sat. We spent many late nights talking.
The Proposal
Chad and I love to hike and spend time outside. One weekend while his mom and stepdad were in town, we went on a hike at Ruffner Mountain. When we parked Chad claimed they were already on the trail, and we were to start hiking to catch up. A mile later, we still hadn’t caught up, and Chad was being unusually quiet. I was starting to get suspicious. Then the pièce de résistance was that I could see the ring box clear as day in his pocket, but I pretended like I didn’t! We got up to the overlook, and he got down on one knee and asked!
Favorite Wedding Moment
My favorite part during the wedding was actually the pictures! By that point, Chad and I had our first look, the nerves settled and we were excited for the wedding itself to happen! We had so much fun hanging out with our family (our siblings and cousins were the bridal party), laughing with each other and our wonderful photographers, Eric and Jamie.
Favorite Wedding Detail
Both of the venues were absolutely beautiful. We were blessed with the most gorgeous weather. It made the flowers look exceptional, and the sunshine into both venues illuminated all the little details.
