1. July 4 Festival

July 4 | 5-9 p.m.
Downtown Homewood

Celebrate Independence Day Homewood style! Two blocks of 18th Street South  and one block of 29th Ave South will be blocked for pedestrian to make way for rides and attractions. Inflatables and rides will be in downtown Homewood streets, and music will be playing by a DJ. Catch the Thunder on the Mountain fireworks show from Vulcan Park at 9 p.m. Unlimited attractions wristbands are $10, and you can purchase them a tent near the intersection of 18th Street South and 29th Avenue South. 

2. Our Lady of Sorrows Fourth of July Festival

July 1-3

The barbecue is back! Come out to feast on Boston butts, turkey breasts, chopped pork, chickens and sides, and you can purchase raffle tickets too. The festival’s Trash & Treasures Sale and games will return in 2022. Find more information on the event’s Facebook page.

3. West Homewood Market

Tuesdays | 5-8 p.m.
160 Oxmoor Road

Support your neighbors, local businesses and farmers by buying produce and more at this weekly summer market. Find everything from fresh produce to arts and craft vendors to live music. The market runs through the first Tuesday of August. Learn more at westhomewood.com.

4. Tour de Cahaba

5. Sidewalk Sale
