Allie Jackson & Zac Clement: A Homewood Wedding

How We Met: We met in Auburn when we were there for college back around 2008. We had mutual friends and hung out and went to several football games together. We both moved to separate places after college and did not start dating until after we both moved back to Birmingham around 2015.

The Proposal: Zac proposed to me (Allison) when we were on a family vacation for my birthday down at the beach. We took a walk along the beach during the day, and he proposed on the walk down by the water.

Favorite Moment: One was the first look at the Tutwiler Hotel. It was raining, so we did the reveal on the balcony of a hotel room suite. The other favorite was our dinner location. After the ceremony, Zac and I went straight out of the venue into our getaway car. The backseat of the classic car had trays that came down, and just the two of us sat back there and ate our meal together before greeting our guests and enjoying the reception.

Favorite Details: The food, especially the homemade cobbler and ice cream instead of the groom’s cake, and all of our floral arrangements that incorporated cotton.

What We Are Doing Now: Zac is a home builder for NewCastle Construction and builds homes in Helena. Allie is a second-grade teacher at Chalkville Elementary. We currently live in West Homewood.
